Your wedding day, the day you’ve planned for months, maybe even years, goes by in the blink of an eye. After all of the food is gone, the music has turned off and your beautiful flowers have dried up, you will have your photographs. Photos of every important moment, the in between and candid, the posed and directed.

Whoever you book, find a photographer that speaks to you. Someone you trust enough not to send a generic “shot list” to.  Someone you like personally and who’s talent makes you feel all the feelings.

These are the the images you’ll show your Grandchildren. The ones you’ll look at each year on your anniversary. They are timeless memories and I hope to be the one to capture them for you.

FAQS

WHEN SHOULD WE BOOK?

I recommend booking as soon as you have your date and venue, about six to twelve months in advance. I take a limited number of weddings a year to be sure to give my full attention to each couple so if you know you want me to be the one to document your wedding day, contacting me asap is always best.

DO YOU TRAVEL?

Definitely! We all know that nothing beats a California sunset but traveling makes my heart pitter patter and getting to see the world while photographing your love is pretty much a win-win.

DO YOU HAVE BUSINESS INSURANCE?

Yes, I'm fully insured and can give your venue a certificate of insurance when/if they ask for one.

DO YOU SHOOT DIGITAL OR FILM?

While I love the look of film, I shoot fully digital with Canon bodies and lenses.

DO YOU HAVE BACKUP EQUIPMENT?

Yes, of course. I always shoot with multiple cameras, lenses, cards and batteries.

DO WE HAVE TO DO AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?

A complimentary engagement session is included in most of my packages and while I won't force you to do one, I highly recommend it. It's such a great way for us to all get to know each other before the wedding day. I love showing up to the wedding as a friend instead of just another vendor and it makes me so happy when I've built a relationship with my couples. Plus it's a great way to get rid of photo jitters, to see how I work and I get to see how the two of you interact behind the camera. When the wedding day comes you'll be pros and it helps the portrait portion of the day run much smoother. If you still don't want to do a session, that is fine but because they are complimentary it will not change the package price.

DO WE GET THE DIGITAL FILES?

Yes, all of the final, edited images are included in each package. You will receive a private online gallery where you will have access to download all of the high resolution jpgs. Post and print your heart away!

SHOULD WE DO A FIRST LOOK?

I highly encourage first looks, for many reasons. It's a chance for the two of your to talk, kiss, be sappy and get all of your jitters out before the celebrations begin. It's usually the only time (aside from sunset portraits) where the two of you will be alone throughout the whole day. We are also able to use natural light and have more of a relaxed timeline and get all of the portraits done before the ceremony. This allows you to head straight into Cocktail Hour and enjoy more time with your friends and family. And p.s. The whole seeing each other when you're walking down the aisle thing will still be special and full of tears, promise.

HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD WE SET ASIDE FOR PORTRAITS ON THE WEDDING DAY

In a perfect world, 45-60 minutes for getting ready images and also for first look and couple portraits. And then 30 minutes each for family and bridal party portraits. I like to give more buffer time than anything since wedding days tend to run behind and the first thing that gets cut when that happens are the portraits. Giving a little extra time in the timeline is helpful to ensure we capture everything we need to.

WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?

For portrait and engagement sessions, three to five weeks. For weddings, eight to ten weeks depending on busy season.

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?

It depends on the wedding day, how many people are in your bridal party, how many details you have, etc. but on an average day I deliver about 100 images for every hour of coverage.

DO WE GET THE COPYRIGHTS TO PRINT OUR IMAGES?

You will receive a print release when you download your images from the online gallery and that allows for printing and usage for personal needs: sharing on social media, printing photos for yourselves or others as gifts, using your images to decorate, etc. As the creator, I naturally have copyrights to all of the images I make. No image may be altered in any manner (besides basic cropping or text) or sold for profit without our explicit consent.

Let's chat!

It is really important to me that we are a good fit and get to know each other prior to booking. I want to show up to your wedding as a friend, not just another vendor, so let’s be sure to grab some coffee or have a Skype date to chat. I take a limited number of weddings each year to ensure that each of my couples receive the attention they deserve. I also love photographing couples, families, and all of those in between moments. My whole life doesn’t revolve around weddings, promise. Just about 99% of it.
