The sweetest family, a gorgeous location, and tons of laughter…the perfect combination for an a+ family session in my books. There are so many sweet elements in these photos, little guys in bow ties get me every time, his mothers quilt, her late mothers chemo blanket, little girls and twirls, and a sweet couple still so smitten with each other. Jennifer and Brian, thank you for allowing me to photograph your beautiful family!
When Jacquelyn, co-founder of the talented trio at Beijos Events, asked me to come photograph her newborn son Court’s nursery and the family as three I could hardly say YES fast enough. Knowing that the girls at Beijos do such a great job, I couldn’t wait to see what they did for Court’s room…I must say, his nursery exceeded my expectations. Anyone who says little boys stuff isn’t as cute, come check out this room. I would like to move in, yesterday. I must say, I don’t photograph newborns very often (at all). They intimidate me and I just don’t have the knack for putting them into those cute poses but if every baby was just like Court I’d photograph them everyday. Thank you for letting my into your beautiful home Kazas family, and asking me to document your first days together as a family of three. Court doesn’t know how good he has it!
Also thrilled to the max that the fabulous Glitter Guide featured Court’s nursery today! Way to go Jacquelyn!
I kind of fell in love with these two during their Parker wedding in 2012. I was so thrilled for them when Maggie wrote me telling me that they were expecting. I drove down to Carlsbad and we frolicked around in the flower fields (until we got reprimanded and then followed for the rest of our time there) and then headed down to the beach. It was the perfect hazy day at the beach and not a single soul there besides us. Maggie and John, I couldn’t be happier for the two of you!
Another fun shoot for Zooey Magazine is in the bag. Brianne was the sweetest ever and so much fun to photograph. We did a kitchen segment and I drooled as she made delicious banana bread and that spread for the top, guys guys. It was amazing! For the recipe head over to Zooey’s Blog. Afterwards we grabbed the bike for a few more shots and frolicked around the cute little courtyard. For more about Brianne and cute photos of her being all cute with a bike head over to Zooey.
Happy Tuesday friends! Enjoy the photos!
Oh where to even begin with this one? This wedding is probably one of my favorites I’ve ever been apart of. Lauren and Daniel put their blood, sweat and tears into making this wedding all the amazingness that it is. When Lauren couldn’t find a venue that she really liked they had the idea of doing it in their own backyard. (If my backyard looked like this I would have too!) Friends and family were a little skeptical at first but once the day came they were blown away with the outcome of the place…and so was I! A ceremony in a wheat field, string lights, the OLD barn that they completely revamped, that LOVE marquee (that Daniel made himself), portraits in a field of wildflowers, Chinese lanterns….I mean, wedding dreamland! I’ve known Lauren for a little over a year through the photography world and was so so honored when she asked me to photograph her wedding. She and Daniel are really meant for each other and I’m so blessed I was able to document their day (with Kelli alongside me, couldn’t have done it without her!) But enough of my jabbering about how obsessed I am with this day, I’ll let the photos show you.
