Jake, Liv & Willow ::: Lifestyle Childrens Session

Oh, Coburn kids, I love thee. Suzy and Gerad welcomed another beautiful little girl to their already gorgeous family and I was so excited to be able to photograph little Willow in all of her newborn glory.

I love this family to the moon and back. For reals.

Kathleen & Graham ::: Stella Mare’s Wedding

Kathleen and Graham got married in late February and it was the perfect wedding to start off my year. They are two of the sweetest people and I was so honored to be there to capture their beautiful day. Their wedding was held at Stella Mare’s Restaurant in Santa Barbara and it was such an ideal location for their nuptials. The ceremony was in a gorgeously lit greenhouse with their reception just a few steps away.

Thank you Kathleen and Graham. So much love for you two!

Mad ♥ Monday…errr Tuesday.

So, I meant to post this yesterday but things kind of didn’t work out as planned.

I had the awesome privilege of shooting with the Floataway Studios team this past weekend in Florida. It was a glorious 5 day trip full of the laying on the beach, reading, swimming in the amazing Atlantic ocean, thunderstorms, a gorgeous wedding day, and some more beaching. Yesterday was the day we traveled back home, so you could imagine being a tad busy.Here is a glimpse of my week in Instagram photos.

I have so many wonderful things to share for Mad Love Monday that I didn’t want to wait another week! Hope you enjoy!

#1. This is pretty cool. An app that lets you get all the photos that were taken at your wedding. All you have to do is give your friends a code and all their photos will end up on this site and voila, they’re yours too!

#2. You all know how much a love a good proposal video and this one here, takes the cake. Grab some tissues. This guy is good.

#3.Ruche is doing a pretty cool series on Photography and your Wedding. First up is “how to pick a wedding photographer” and they just added, ” how to prepare for your photographer”. Good stuff here people.

#4. Lovely Bridal Shop just opened up in LA. This is not your mama’s bridal shop. They carry gorgeous gowns from Elizabeth Dye, Carol Hannah, Ivy & Aster, Sarah Seven. Beauties, I tell ya.

#5. DIY Ombre Pinwheels. Because c’mon, who doesn’t like ombre AND pinwheels?!

{via The Wedding Chicks}

#6. Um, coaster wedding invitations? YES, please!

{via Design Work Life}

#7. I almost kept this one to myself because it’s so dang awesome. But in the end, I’m a super generous person. You guys need to stay up to date with these guys because they’re coming out with an incredible photo editing app. If you’re a photographer that already uses VSCO for your editing then you’ll know how exciting this is. If you’re someone who digs photo editing apps on your iPhone’s, then you TOO should be just as excited. Good stuff.

Isabella ::: Lifestyle Childrens Session

Isabella was a little dream to photograph. She is such a sweet girl and a ham in front of the camera.

Happy First Birthday Isabella!

Nisha & Woody ::: Skirball Center Wedding

A blog post strictly in black and white only, why not?

Nisha and Woody got married late last year at the Skirball Center in Los Angeles. It was a chilly day but as they were wrapped in each others arms, they didn’t seem to mind at all. The day was perfect, to a T and I was so happy to be there shooting with Adrienne!

Drop It Modern Sale!

Last week I had the pleasure of using some amazing backdrops for a session. If you’ve never heard of Drop It Modern before, you should run over to their site and look around. Their backdrops are great for newborn sessions, boudoir, and anything else your creative little mind can think of.

They’re having an awesome sale right now on some of their backdrops. If you’ve ever been interested in using some, now is the time to buy!

Here are some sneaks from my session last week. It was my first time using them and I can’t wait to use them again!

Jacob and Olivia are loving their new little sister, Willow.

and, although you can’t see the backdrop in the background, Willow is just too precious not to show off.

Lauren & J.T. ::: Malibu Engagement Session

I almost broke this session up into two parts because I have SO many favorites but then decided to share them all at once because, well…I do what I want and because I’m a teensy bit obsessed with this entire session.

Lauren and J.T. live in North Carolina but J.T. is stationed here in California and just got back from serving in Afghanistan. So while they were here, I had the privilege of shooting their engagement session. They chose two locations that are very special to them. {Which I LOVED} It really makes your session that much more personal when you choose locations that mean something to you and I love it because I get to shoot in different places =)

Their first location was the Channel Islands Air Guard Base. It was so much fun shooting in the hangar with those ginormous planes and I loved their outfits for this part of the session. J.T. looked so handsome in his dress blues and Lauren’s friend handmade her beautiful dress!

Our second location was a lookout point in Malibu that is very special to their family. And holy moly, was it beyond gorgeous!

Lauren & J.T., thank you for letting me be apart of this special time in your lives. I love you two and had so much fun. Please let me know when you’re back in California =)

I mean, I have about 37 favorites from this session but this photo right here, wins. After our session Lauren & J.T. asked to have a photo taken with me and it just about melted my heart.

Mad ♥ Monday

Happy Monday! I had a fun, busy week back home last week, full of 1 year olds, client meetings, newborn sessions and boudoir sessions. I came back to LA to celebrate Heather’s new baby and sneak a peak of the American Idol Ford commercial they were shooting across the street. So fun =)

Hope you all have a great week! I’m pretty excited about it!

#1. Do you remember Paul McDonald from the last season of American Idol? Well, he and his new wife Nikki Reed (ya, seriously) wrote this song together and made this awesome music video. I love how carefree it is and how adorable they are together. Go listen =)

{via Green Wedding Shoes}

#2. Last week I received an email from Edisen, a new collection of all things pretty and wedding related. I immediately went to their site and gasped at all of their gorgeous items. I especially am obsessed with this sweet dress. Head over to see everything for yourself!

{via Edisen}

#3. Trying to find something a little more exciting than some cufflinks to give to your groomsmen? Well, check out these awesome bottle openers! Get them!

{via The Wedding Chicks}

#4. Hey engaged couples, want your own app to organize your wedding? Ok, you got it. Pretty awesome, right?

{via Ruffled}

#5. I love this brides hair. It’s such a sweet, simple, low swept do. I dig it =)

Tanya & Todd ::: Beverly Hills Wedding

I shot this lovely wedding with the talented Jen Lauren Grant last year and am so excited to share it today. Apparently I had a pretty happy trigger finger this day and shot a ton of lovely images so this post is just a weeeee bit longer than usual =)

Whenever I second shoot, I usually go and hang out with the guys while they get ready. It’s such a drastic difference from how the girls get ready. Girls start at 5:00 am, guys start 10 min before ceremony time. Girls room is chaotic and loud, guys have the game on and drink beers. Girls are nervous and excited, guys are nervous and excited…oh wait.

Tanya and Todd had their ceremony at the drop dead goooorgeous Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills and reception at the uber stylish London West Hollywood. All in all, their day was fun. Great dance party, Emotional ceremony, stylish wedding party, and a ridiculously in love couple.
