Sometimes I think I need to share more about my life with you guys. It’s not all THAT exciting but sometimes I do fun stuff. So, here’s a peak into my life lately.

Lola is adorable. I’m biased for sure but COME ON. Do you see this shot? Threw Mary a fabulous surprise birthday bonfire bash! You can see the whole shindig here. Went to the Bon Iver show and stood behind tall hipsters but the show was amazing! Got to meet my dear friend’s new baby girl. I dressed up as Rosie the Riveter for my friends graphic novel release party. Went to Unique LA and scored some rad Help Ink goods.

The Erwin’s ::: Lifestyle Family Session

Oh, The Erwin’s. I LOVE these people. Seriously. The very first time we met they picked me up at the train station before our first session together {if that doesn’t tell you how sweet they are, I don’t know what does}. The day I delivered the disc of their images to them, Nikki told me they just found out they were pregnant! I was so excited because I couldn’t WAIT to photograph their maternity session! Aaaaand last month I finally got to meet little Kamryn. It was one of the first super hot days in the valley but these guys powered through and we got some great images of the four of them =)

Leah ::: Lifestyle Portrait Session

I don’t think you ever need a reason to have a session done. Leah just graduated college so we used that excuse but really, they’re just so much fun to do!

She is such a burst of sunshine. No, seriously, I just used that expression and I mean it. We had so much fun exploring the alleys around Balboa fun zone and dodging cannons and Revolutionary War reenactments in our flower filled park.

Leah is beautiful and I am so happy that I was able to document this super exciting stage in her life! Thank you, girl =)

Chanel & Adrian ::: Long Beach Engagement Session

Chanel and Adrian are beautiful both inside and out. You can see how beautiful they are on the outside in the these photos so you can only imagine what they’re like on the inside. Seriously, they’re the sweetest people and we had so much fun during their session. They are fellow Long Beachians and showed me so much I didn’t know was here in our awesome town. We went from the sailing school, to walking around their neighborhood, to the beach at sunset. It was the perfect day for an engagement session and these two rocked the “forehead & sidehead” like no one’s business

Becca & Jared ::: Long Beach Engagement Session

Becca and Jared are amazing. Really, I could just leave it at that and get on with the photos…

…but I won’t. These two have been together for as long as I can remember and are finally tying the knot this fall and I am SO incredibly honored to be shooting their wedding. You see, Becca is a fellow photographer and a dang good one at that so for them to ask me to document their big day is pretty dang awesome! These two were so wonderful and made the drive down to me in Long Beach to have their e-session done. We had a blast running around downtown Long Beach, no literally..it’s pretty ghetto down there. Then headed to a gorgeous park full of yellow flowers in Costa Mesa. Love them, loved that day, will no doubt love their wedding day. I cannot wait!

Becca & Jared, thank you two for such a fun day. Come down anytime and we’ll go to Disneyland!

Her Golden Birthday

Last week I {with the help of some of my amazing friends} threw Mary a surprise birthday bonfire bash. It was one of my favorite nights ever; friends, smore’s bar, sparklers and twinkly lights. I was so happy to see how excited she was to see her friends come and celebrate her.

Today is her actual birthday. Her GOLDEN birthday. She is 25 on the 25th and I’m pretty sure she’s having an amazing birthday, in London, no less. I swear I’m not jealous. So, if you know Mary send her some love today.

I love you Mary! Hope you have an amazing birthday!!

Mad ♥ Monday…on a Tuesday…again.

Yet again, my Monday was chock full of everything that had nothing to do with writing a blog post. So here I am, a day late…again. Better late than never, right? Yesterday was my last full day at home home {Visalia} so I soaked up every ounce of quality time with the fam bam. Us girls celebrated Gma’s birthday by running off to see The Lucky One. I mean, I can’t stay away from a Nicholas Sparks movie…seriously.

Lola and I are getting back on the road in a few hours so I wanted to post this before I ran out of time today.

Here we go!

#1. Wynter and I went on a shopping trip to Marshalls last week and I scored some awesome mint colored pants. I like them, a lot. Well, I like all colored jeans, a lot. {via Hey Mishka}

#2. This Korres lip butter is the absolute best thing on earth. It’s super moisturizing and comes in a ton of shades. I dig it. Lately, I’ve been dabbing it on my cheeks, it gives me a perfect flush color. {via Sephora}

#3. I LOVE this guest “book” idea I saw recently on a wedding blog. The couple had a blank canvas and asked their guests to “Grow Us A Garden” and guests painted a picture that they will most likely cherish forever and hang in their home. Awesome! {via Ruffled}

#4. Walter G is the latest feature designer on Design Sponge and I’m loving their prints! {via Design Sponge}

#5. Help Ink is having a sale on some of their prints! I just bought this one! {via Help Ink}

#6. Eat, Drink, Chic has free iPhone wallpapers up and they are ADORABLE. I just put one on my phone and it makes me so happy. I think I now need a new case to go along with it

#7. One of my best friends/fellow photographer/roommate extraordinaire just launched her brand new personal travel site and it is FAN-freakin-TASTIC! So excited for her and her adventures! Amy & Chris ::: Los Angeles Engagement Session

Amy and Chris are two of the sweetest people you’ll meet. I love how he makes her laugh and the way she looks at him. We shot their session at a park in Los Angeles that overlooked the city. It was a perfect day.
